Who Is this End Time Great Whore?

An angel spiritually carried John into the wilderness to show him the judgment of the great whore that “sitteth upon many waters” (Revelation 17:1). He lifted the veil that covered the woman’s face. On her forehead was written, “MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” (Revelation 17:5). John “marveled” (Revelation 17:9) at this beautiful mysterious woman, “arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls,” riding a scarlet colored beast with “seven heads and ten horns” (Revelation 17:3, 4). Who is this great whore and why is she to be judged?

The angle gave John some clues that identify the great whore that was clothed in purple and scarlet and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls. “The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. . . . And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth” (Revelation 17:9, 18). These clues identify the great whore as the Roman Catholic Church, governed by the pope (False Prophet).

The precious stones and pearls adorning the great whore (Revelation 17:6) signify the wealth of the Roman Catholic Church. Rome, the headquarters of the Vatican and the Roman Catholic Church is that great city known as the City of Seven Hills. The great whore is destined to rule over the kings and nations of the earth for a short space. (Revelation 17:10)

“Rome herself claims to rule over the kings of the earth. . . . The Roman Catholic Church believes that popes have the right to remove kings and emperors. . . . Scarlet (red) is the color worn by the cardinals. Non-cardinal arch bishops and bishops wear purple. (The Criterion, July 1, 1988.) The cardinals, archbishops and bishops make up the hierarchy of the Roman church.” (Irvin Baxter, Understanding the End Time, p 95.)

Another angel said the great whore and the kings of the earth committed fornication (Revelation 18:3). John remembered Ezekiel’s words condemning whoredom. “And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon. . . . Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them” (Ezekiel 16:16, 17). The great whore decked with gold and precious stones will be burned to death (Revelation 18:8) because she drank “of the wine of the wrath of God” (Revelation 14:9-10).

Trinity Poisoned Wine Stole Jesus’ Identity

Heed the words of Jesus that plainly say you will die in your sins if you do not believe that Jesus is the Almighty God of the Universe (John 8:24). Satan Stole Jesus’ Identity by Declaring a Trinity Godhead   Satan snatched Jesus identity by convincing the Christians in the early Roman church that there are three persons in the Godhead . In 325 AD, at the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea under the influence of Constantine the Great, the fathers of the early Roman church established the divinity and equality of the Son in a Trinity Godhead. Fifty-six years later, at the First Council of Constantinople , they drew up a dogmatic statement [an opinion based on assumption rather than empirical evidence] on the Trinity that defined the Holy Spirit. as having the same divinity as expressed for the Son by the Council of Nicaea . Since then Satan has beguiled approximately one-third of the world’s population. Trinity doctrine is now the traditional doctrine in most of the Christian ch

Satan and his Poisoned Wine Persuaded the Disciples

Satan and his false doctrine caused the disciples to reject Jesus as Messiah and God. Jesus tried to warn them of His coming crucifixion and resurrection (Mark 8:31; 9:31; Luke 18:31-33), but “they understood none of these things” (Luke 18:34). Peter and Thomas wanted to go with Him (John 13:36, 37; 14:5) and Philip asked Him to show him the Father. Jesus answered, “Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?” (See John 14:9.) After Jesus was taken prisoner, “all the disciples forsook him, and left” (Matthew 26:56). Judas had betrayed Him, Peter denied Him, and Thomas refused to accept Him. The disciples believed Jesus came from God because they had heard His sermons and seen His miracles, but they rejected Him as Messiah and God. When Mary Magdalene and Mary ran from the tomb to tell the apostles that Jesus had risen, they wouldn’t listen. “Their words seemed to them

Seven Trumpets Sound to Lovers of Poisoned Wine

Listen for the Seventh Trumpet ye inhabitants of the earth for it will signal life to the church and death to many of the inhabitants of the earth. Seven Trumpets  Will Sound Seven Endtime Woes to Lovers of Poisoned Wine Seven Trumpets will sound seven woes upon the inhabitants of the earth. Many times God uses trumpets to make announcements. These announcements may be good or bad (Matthew 24:29-31, Exodus 19:16, Psalms 81:3, Isaiah 27:13, Numbers 10:2-10, Joshua 6:4-20). Most of the inhabitants of the earth are lovers of Poisoned Wine. To these the Seventh Trumpet sounds death but to the true church it sounds eternal life. A great voice, as it were of a trumpet talking ( bullhorn/megaphone ), summoned John to heaven to show him things which must be hereafter (Rev 4:1). S even angels stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. . . .And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound (Revelation 8:2, 6). God told John to  write the things whi
